The historic racing season started in Hockenheim, Germany. This year I’m running the Morgan +4s again driven by Nico Zonneveld. The first event had some ups and downs. The down which resulted in damage to the car will be fixed for Assen. I’m sure the will be more luck involved next time.

After a winter of preparations it was time for a shakedown. We went to Albergen in the east of holland close to the German border. Both car and driver did excellent and took home the no.1 trophy. Let’s hope the throphy brings goodluck for the rest of the season. The pictures can be found in the gallery.

Last weekend I took a jump back to my old job. A weekend of track and field and sound engineering. The indoor track and field venue in Apeldoorn was not the easiest place to do so. A lot of reverb is easy to create but together with my team of PB-Event co-workers we where able to do this successful. This weekend the juniors where competing next weekend it will be for the seniors.

Last few months if been working on a crossauto project. These cars are used to race around dirt tracks with rather small corners and high speeds. Acceleration is ket in this kind of racing this makes lightweight construction extra important. more pictures in the gallery.

First of all I wish everybody a happy new year.

The second half of the summer I slacked a bit posting something on my website. I was concentrating to find myself a new job and I was not so focused on my website.

Let’s see if the summer brings up any nice (racing)events.
For now I wish u all the best for 2011

A long 4 day race event which didn’t match my aspectations. The whole team tried really hard to make the two racing team holland Mustangs go faster during the weekend but it didn’t work out. On Saturday Allard Kalff became first in the legend cup but not with the pace we wanted. In the last race we suffert engine damage with the nr 9 mustang driven by pieter Christiaan and Bernard van Oranje. Everybody was disappointed because we worked hard to make it happen. Enough to do before the next race. Tomorrow I fly to Mexico for a 2 week holiday nice to see my girlfriend again.

Next event will be the master series in donnington, England with the McLaren M8F driven by Michiel Campagne

For the first time in my life I went to the Brands Hatch track. A really nice track that has a lot of height differences. It is a big circuit/paddock but it feels really cozy.

I was running the McLaren M8F from Michiel Campagne. It was my first event that I had to run this car and it went ok. Of Course it takes some time to learn all the car specific tricks but a lot of it became more clear during this weekend.

During Qualifiy u could see that Michiel needed to get used to the power of his M8F again. After a small spin in the outlap his times started dropping really fast. In race one he managed to drive a flat race. The second race he overtook some cars and became 4th eventually. He managed to drive a 1.27 which was his fastest time of the weekend.

We have some minor technical things to sort out for next race which will be in Donnington 25-27 june.

The first race event for me will be Zandvoort next weekend during the Masters of formula 3.

For the first time in 4 years the shanghai athletic event has got the highest status that u can have as an athletics grand prix. For me the competition didn’t really change. I was on charge of the music in the stadium. After a good preparation the event it self Which only takes around 4 hours was not to difficult. Now I fly back to the Netherlands again to prepare to visit England for a race with the McLaren on brands hatch.

Second time to Zandvoort this year and many to come. This weekend was a weekend to forget really fast. The Morgan suffered from a crash and the Marcos had a mechanical failure which doused lots of damage. Both cars are repairable but it is gonna take some time and sweat. Wednesday I will leave to china to work for PB-Event during the shanghai diamond league grand prix, track and field

Assen always means rain! Every-time I go to Assen it is raining. This weekend I was preparing the Morgan +4S from Nico Zonneveld. The Morgan was competing in 2 race series. The national championship for historic touring cars and GT’s and the master series which is a international historic championship.

The Morgan went through some changes before this weekend. We installed a 60 liter gas tank to make sure we can finish a 90 min race without refueling. Everything went according to plan but the 90 minute race was stopped after 70 min because the race exceeded the sound levels for that day. The Morgan finished all the races without any major problems a nice start of the season.
