Thursday
Tomorrow morning the event starts here in Hockenheim. It is a bit weird standing with the trailer on pole position ride on the grid. The track is all prepared for tomorrow and the car is almost ready to go. It is late again. Lets see how Q1 and Q2 will go tomorrow.
Friday
Today we made the first two qualifying runs. I was (promoted) as a tow car driver which means you have to tow the car to the start and at the end of the quarter mile I needed to pick up the dragster. After second qualifying we were still not qualified and we hope we can do that tomorrow.
Saturday
Finally we qualified for the eliminations after a lot of bad luck. Tonight we ran a night show which is really spectacular. Big flame came out of the exhaust (bunny ears) almost the whole run. Lex had to pedal the car to the end so it was a flames on and of run till the finish line.
Sunday
Now the event realy starts if u don’t win a run on Sunday u are out of the race. unfortunately there was a car a few runs before us which lost a lot of oil on the track. The track crew tried to clean it up but it wasn’t as clean as it should be. The Top fueler before already went up in smoke (spinning the tyres) and we had the same problem. It was impossible to make a decent run in the right lane at that time all do Lex tried really hard to go as fast as possible taking the dragster in a side way drift along the quarter mile. I was disappointed but knowing that we couldn’t do anything about it makes is easier.
My dad was there to see the event and made some picture which can be viewed in the gallery.
