Sunday was also completely covered with sun. After a nice dinner the night before there was enough time to rest/wait for all the mechanics. The NK-htgt only drove 1 race this day that was going to start at 11.40.
Karen Campagne started again from the 12thposition and managed to overtake one of the mini’s in the first few laps. Then Theo van Gammeren was behind her with a Porsche 911 and he really tried to overtake her but Karen blocked his lines all the time. Karen kept the 11th position till the finish.
Nico Zonneveld drove an amazing race. He started from the 8thplace and managed to overtake his biggest rifle Frank van Mill with his Porsche 911. After that he kept drive laps times of 2.10 which seem to be his normal race pace now. Later he also overtook the orange Ford Falcon from Martin Bijleveld. Nico ended up in 6thposition which I think is the highest position he has been so far. This also mend that he was second in his class behind Hank Melse who is still to far away to overtake for Nico. In the Saturday race Nico was already 3th in his class so he improved that in the Sunday race.
Next NK-htgt race will be 19-21 june in Dijon-Prenois, France.
Next weekend I will be at Zandvoort again for the pinksterraces.
