After working for CPM Europe for more then a month now I need some distraction. Working behind a desk is totally different then working on race cars. In Order to get this I started a new challenge. This new challenge will be revealed once it is more clear what my tasks are going to be.

Meanwhile I’m working on the Ford Mustang FR500C again to prepare it for upcoming Pinksterraces (Pentecost races). It looks like we only race with the mustang when there is a religious day. These races exist for a long time and I think it is because the organisers can attract more spectators while everybody has a day off.

Besides regular maintenance we need to change to internal roll-cage. The Mustang complies with the American standards on roll-cages but not to the FIA standards (European) here for all the Mustangs competing in the Dutch GT4 championship need to their roll-cage. This is a quit compli operation that also make a change to the stiffness of the car. Besides the changes on the car changes on the race track of Zandvoort are made. Some sections have a new layer of tarmac which will have an effect on the amount of grip. These changes will make a difference and will be easily to spot in the data collected by the data logging device.
